Cute little place tucked away in Castello behind the Hotel Palazzo Priulli. Ermano, the proprietor, has a cute ristorante right along a quiet canal.  There are a few outside tables that are wonderful if the weather is nice.  The menu contains a lot of traditional Venetian favorites and some dishes from the Orient. The food is always innovative and well prepared.

 Pasticceria Viennese

Fantastic Vienese sweets.  Sachertorte is the speciality, and with it you can have Prosecco or espresso.

One of the more rustic Venetian spots.  That is not to say it is not great.  Their in soure is one of the best, and melanzane with
mint.  Incredible!

A lovely little place about two bridges down from the La Palanca vaporetto stop.  Outdoor dining available when the weather permits.  It’s a nice area next to the canal.

Another excellent restaurant on Murano. Luigi Camozzo is the proprietor and he sets a really nice meal.  Once again, Venetian fare.

PADUA

Max, the owner/chef grew up in Padua and earned his chops in Moscow.  Very small and very elegant with a wonderful wine selection. It's a 35 minute train ride and a 10 minute walk from the train station.
